We have put out a call for applications for a PhD seminar on the sociology of markets. The seminar is fully funded by the DFH/UFA and will be held at Sciences Po Paris from January 10–12, 2024. Please apply by October 31st and join us to discuss the future of the sociology of markets with an interdisciplinary group of researchers.
This seminar aims at providing students with the analytical and conceptual tools to study markets. The conceptual texts and case studies provide insights into different approaches in economic sociology, featuring sessions on recent developments in the economy.
The seminar focuses on recent debates on the interrelations between economy and society, building on foundational controversies. It examines economic action, market constitution, and analyses of credit, money, finance, and crises.
